Email marketing is one of our favorite methods for making money online, simply because, once you learn how, it’s incredibly easy to do it. All you have to do is send a good and relevant offer to your list and the money will start pouring in, right? Well, not really. If this was all it took, many more people would be able to claim running successful email promotions.
The truth is a bit more complex. If you are a marketer with hundreds of thousands of people on your list of subscribers, you will inevitably make money with your list, unless you send completely unrelated and useless offers. Your conversions might be poor and ridiculous, but almost any targeted offer will make you at least some money. However, this is not the way to run a business. The marketer with a modest size list and the ame approach will be unable to pay for his next autoresponder invoice.
So, how do you run a successful email marketing campaign? How do you get your subscribers to open your emails, click on your links and buy your offers? Here is how:
1. Build trust
Let your action speak for you in a positive way. Be generous, share your knowledge, give value. If your subscribers get accustomed to getting valuable info from you, they will see you as someone ready to help and they will trust you more.
2. Write attractive email headlines
No one will open a boring email headline. Make sure to give them a reason to ope. Create an interest, an urge to see what you are offering.
3. Recommend only quality stuff
Affiliate marketing is not an excuse to promote awful products. One lousy recommendation is all it takes for your subscribers to lose trust in you and even unsubscribe. Promote valuable content and the feedback will be good.
4. Condition them to click on your links
If you condition your subscribers to always click your links in emails, you will get a lot of eyeballs viewing your offers. You can do this by offering small downloads and cool stuff that takes only a minute or two to view. Get them clicking and the money will keep rolling in.
